The woman behind the name

I started Betty F in my kitchen in 2018. What began as a side project — making gifts for friends — grew into something I never expected.

I'd always been drawn to jewelry. Not the mass-produced kind you find in every high street, but the pieces that have a story. Our studio is now in Hackney, London. We're a small team of four — each piece still passes through my hands. I source every stone, every link, every clasp.

The Craft

From sketch to finished piece, every step takes time.

Design

Design

Every piece starts with a sketch. I draw inspiration from architecture, nature, and vintage finds. Once I'm happy with the shape, I create a prototype in wax or metal.

Creation

Creation

We use traditional techniques — lost-wax casting, hand forging, stone setting. Each piece is made by hand. No shortcuts. A single necklace can take up to 12 hours to complete.

Finishing

Finishing

Every piece is polished, inspected, and tested. We check clasps, closures, and stone settings. If it doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't leave the studio.
